Program description: The Treasury Department and the IRS released proposed regulations governing the treatment of “carried interest.” With so many unanswered questions from the original code section, the investment community was hopeful that the new proposed regulations would provide much-needed insight. Instead, unanswered questions remain and new questions are introduced.
